SENSES, a pop-up dining experience, is making its way to Toronto in January.
Taking place at an undisclosed location on Friday, January 21, SENSES invites guests to indulge in an immersive cannabis-infused fine-dining experience.
The evening will include a three-course meal created by Chef Travis Peterson and paired with a variety of cocktails developed by the mixologists at Wesley Tea Company using quality ingredients from local purveyors. The $150 ticketed event will also offer access to an entire evening with live music and entertainment, as well as an educational component which includes information on how each course was prepared and why certain ingredients were chosen for use throughout the evening.
The four-course meal will be infused with THC.
The four-course meal will be infused with cannabis. Guests will enjoy a variety of courses prepared by Chef Travis Peterson, which will be infused with THC in each course. The chefs at Senses have created a unique process for the infusion of the cannabis, so attendees won’t get “high” from eating this meal—they can enjoy the flavours and aromas of each dish without feeling any psychoactive effects.
The chefs are working with two types of oils—one that’s high in THC (the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana) and one that has no THC but has CBD (an anti-inflammatory). The oils will be used in the form of tinctures or butter added to each dish during preparation. Cannabis oil is made from trim leaves and buds, which are extracted using CO2 extraction methods or ethanol extraction methods.
How does it work?
This time around, we’re offering three different dosages of cannabis. Each guest will choose their desired dosage at the start of each meal, starting as low as 5mg.
- Low dose: 5mg
- Medium dose: 10mg
- High dose: 20mg
Our main goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. We want them to feel like they can relax, enjoy themselves, and leave feeling energized and rejuvenated.
Our brand sponsors include Wesley Tea, Zillionaires, and Euphoria Extractions, and to provide the key ingredients and cannabis-infused edibles and drink recipes that can be enjoyed before or after your meal. Check out the drink recipes from Wesley Tea.
We have created a menu that is both delicious and healthy. Our food is made from fresh ingredients, and we use organic produce whenever possible. We also offer vegan options for our guests who prefer not to consume meat. Our drinks are all natural with no added sugars or preservatives.
